Scholarship

Over the course of five years, I have participated in numerous scholarship activities, made possible through grant funding and various invitations and conference proceedings. I have been able to further my research interests and bring that research back to my students. In addition, I have been invited to speak to classes, at conferences, and on panels. I have also hosted various workshops at other universities and for various groups.

I have been very involved in my research and practice. I have developed multiple applications that apply to my research of emotional engineering, technology and healthcare, and empathy in design.

The main focus of my scholarship is empathic approaches to giving assistance to the user, be it for back problems, mental health, or helping victims of domestic abuse.
